WASTE ANALYSIS LABORATORY

Laboratory testing of hazardous waste is carried out in accordance with testing standards approved by the Lithuanian Standards Department (LSD), foreign testing standards and laboratory procedures developed in accordance with these standards.

The laboratory employs highly qualified specialists to analyse solid, liquid and paste hazardous waste, water, wastewater, soil, sludge, gas treatment solid waste (ash), bottom ash and slag. The Hazardous Waste Research Laboratory employs state-of-the-art research equipment. Around 2,000 different analyses are carried out each year, and international comparative studies are carried out.

The company’s laboratory tests are essential to ensuring the success of the hazardous waste management process: they determine the combustion properties of the waste, the content of heavy metals in the waste, the feasibility of disposing of the waste in the hazardous waste landfill, and the most appropriate method of waste management in line with the principles of a circular economy.

The company advises waste holders on the correct identification of waste, the possible further management of the waste and the conditions for waste management.
